Entry-Level Systems Engineer

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) is seeking a Systems Engineer (Entry-level) to join us in our Scottsdale, AZ location. This is a great opportunity to utilize and grow the systems engineering concepts you developed while obtaining your Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. You’ll get to work side by side with new and experienced teammates on Rescue 21, a United States Coast Guard program.

Rescue 21 is the Coast Guard’s advanced command, control and direction-finding communications system created to better locate mariners in distress and save lives and property at sea and on navigable rivers. By harnessing state-of-the-market technology, the General Dynamics-built Rescue 21 system enables the Coast Guard to execute its search and rescue missions with far greater agility and efficiency.

As a Systems Engineer (Entry-level) some of the opportunities you will have to use and grow your current skills include:

• Perform requirements analysis, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, trade studies, systems integration and test (verification)
• Perform interface definition studies of system components and products under direct supervision
• Support the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle
• Interface with  project leaders and other professionals within the Engineering department

The Systems Engineer (Entry-level) position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, a related discipline, or the equivalent experience and the ability to travel as required.

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Department of Defense issued Secret security clearance within 24 months. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
